It isn’t often that a big star like John Cusack has a film come out that hardly anyone has even heard of, but that’s the case with The Factory, written by Morgan O’Neill and Paul Leyden and directed by O’Neill, which lands in theatres via a limited release December 19th, by Warner Bros.
After learning of the film’s release via Next Movie, we tracked down a teaser poster from over a year ago for the flick, but no trailer seems to exist. In any event, here’s the synopsis for The Factory, which, along with Cusack, stars Jennifer Carpenter, Mae Whitman, Michael Trevino, Ksenia Solo, Sonya Walger, Cas Anvar, Cindy Sampson, and Dallas Roberts.
It’s probably more thriller than pure horror, but considering the cast and crew, we thought it worth a mention.
Detective Mike Fletcher (Cusack), a rugged and obsessive police officer, and his partner, Kelsey Walker (Carpenter), are on the trial of a serial killer who prowls the streets targeting young streetwalkers. When his teenage daughter disappears, Fletcher discovers that the killer has kidnapped her after mistaking her for a prostitute. Fletcher’s obsession goes into overdrive when he drops all professional restraint to get the killer and save his daughter.
